Gloucestershire Exiles Day at the Visit Cayman Islands Cheltenham Cricket Festival
18 June 2021
Despite the announcement of the current Covid regulations the Gloucestershire Exiles are pleased to announce that the annual Exiles Day at the Visit Cayman Islands Cheltenham Festival, always one of the festival’s most popular events, will take place again this year.
We understand from the Club that the Festival will look and feel very different this year in all facets. For example, spectators won’t be able to walk in front of the Pavilion (we can’t mix ‘zones’) and masks will need to be worn when walking around the site as is the case already at the County Ground in Bristol. However the Festival will still have its unique atmosphere and the Club are looking forward to welcoming many Exiles and friends in this their 50th anniversary year.
It will be held in a private stretch tent at the ground on Sunday July 11th, the first day of the County Championship game against Hampshire, and what an important match that is set to be.
“As with so many other events we were unable to go ahead last year but it is great news that we can go ahead this year and we are really looking forward to seeing our Members and their guests together again in Cheltenham,“ said Exiles Chair Sarah Blowen.
