Whittingham & Bracey secure second victory in La Manga
24 March 2019
A superb bowling display by new signing Stuart Whittingham and classy century by James Bracey steered Gloucestershire to a comfortable victory in La Manga.
After winning the toss, Glamorgan decided to bat first and Whittingham capitalised on the situation by taking three early wickets in the top of Glamorgan's order in the opening 10 overs. All-rounder Benny Howell assisted with three wickets of his own and David Payne took 1 wicket.
Whittingham then tore through the Glamorgan tail and clinched another three wickets, ending with impressive figures of 6 for 43.

In reply to Glamorgans total of 265, George Hankins picked up where he left off in the opening match with a well controlled 52. James Bracey joined Hankins at the crease after Dent was caught by Morgan off the bowling of Hogan for 4 runs. Bracey coming in at number three stormed through the Glamorgan attack and smashed his way to an impressive 122.
After Hankins was dismissed off the bowling of Maschede, 2018 player of the year Ryan Higgins came in and crunched his way to 68* and ensured Gloucestershire won the second 50 over match convincingly.
