Wet outfield caused One Day Cup abandonment
25 May 2018
Friday's scheduled floodlit Royal London One Day Cup match against Hampshire was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
After three inspections by umpires Nick Cook and Paul Pollard - the third of them at 3.30pm - they decided several parts of the outfield were too wet to allow play, notably a large area between the edge of the square and the boundary on the Mound Stand side of the ground.
Both teams take one point each.
Gloucestershire are at home again in the South Group on Sunday May 27th against Sussex (11.00am).
Ticket holders are able to obtain an exchange or refund for this match, more details here
