Vitality Blast Preview | Surrey vs Gloucestershire

13 June 2024

Gloucestershire travel to The Oval to take on Surrey in the Vitality Blast on Friday evening hoping to get back to winning ways following three consecutive defeats.

Shire succumbed to back-to-back home defeats against Hampshire and Sussex over the weekend leaving Mark Alleyne’s team on two points from the opening four matches.

Those results leave Gloucestershire in seventh place in the table with their sights firmly set on a quick return to the top half of the table.

Surrey, meanwhile, sit in third place in the South Group on six points with three wins to their name so far. Captained by Ollie Pope, Surrey’s three wins have come against Somerset, Glamorgan and Hampshire while their only defeat came at the hands of Sussex.

A win for Gloucestershire could see them climb up to fifth in the table while a win for Surrey could send the Londoners to the top of the table.
