Vitality Blast Preview | Kent Spitfires v Gloucestershire
15 June 2024
Gloucestershire travel to Canterbury to face Kent Spitfires in their second Vitality Blast encounter of the weekend. Jack Taylor's men held their nerve in the final over at Surrey on Friday, leaving The Oval with a tie following an impressive bowling display from the seam attack.
Three wickets each for David Payne and Matt Taylor added to economical spells by Josh Shaw, Marchant de Lange and Beau Webster meant The Shire fell just one run short of a famous victory in the capital.
Surrey matching Gloucestershire's score of 170 ensured both sides left with a point.

Mark Alleyne makes no changes to the squad that travelled to The Oval, with Zaman Akhter, Ed Middleton, Ajeet Singh Dale and Ollie Price the four options should the Head Coach wish to rotate in Canterbury.
Spinner Tom Smith and all-rounders Tom Price and Zafar Gohar remain sidelined.
