Tye takes 4 wickets for Kings XI Punjab in emotional day for the Aussie
9 May 2018
Australian bowler Andrew Tye showed brilliant character with the ball against Rajasthan Royals as he scalped four wickets in the innings in Jaipur on Tuesday.
Tye drew first blood for Kings XI Punjab by dismissing opposition Captain Ajinkya Rahane. As Rahane walked back, the Aussie kissed his armband in elation.
Tye went on to take three more wickets to end with impressive figures of 4-34-4. A notable thing was that each time he got a wicket, he planted a gentle kiss on his armband. However, there was another side to this story which was revealed later on, the right-arm fast bowler lost his grandmother on Tuesday and dedicated his performance to her.
