An Evening With Mike Procter – Tuesday 19 July 2022
On the opening day of the Festival, following the first day of the County Championship match between Gloucestershire and Hampshire, join us for An Evening With Mike Procter. The Club’s new President, David Lawrence, will be in attendance taking questions alongside Mike Procter, with an open Q&A from the floor and raffle to finish.
The Pig & Pallett marquee will be open for the event at 6.30pm for a 7pm start, and tickets are £10 per person.
All proceeds from tickets sales and the raffle will go to the Mike Procter Foundation and the Gloucestershire Cricket Trust. The Mike Procter Foundation is a charity set up by ‘Proccy’ to help uplift and empower disadvantaged people and communities through sport. The Gloucestershire Cricket Trust is the official charity of Gloucestershire Cricket, offering a portfolio of programmes in education and employability, health and well-being, sustainability and cricket activity.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to welcome the South African and Glos cricketing legend back to the South West again. Procter played for Gloucestershire from 1965-1981, including being part of the 1973 Gillete Cup winning side and captaining the team that won the 1977 Benson & Hedges Cup. He played a total of 482 matches for The Shire scoring 20,072 runs and taking 1,113 wickets in the first-class and one-day formats.
Proccy’s latest book, Caught In the Middle, will be available to purchase and of course, you can get your copy signed on the night. Glos merchandise will also be on hand if you’re looking for some new training or leisure wear, or perhaps a gift for a young fan.
Book your tickets now right here. If there’s a burning question you’d love to ask Mike Procter or David Lawrence, feel free to email it to us ahead of time to at reception@gloscricket.co.uk. Please title the email "Q&A with Mike Procter".
