The Shire Overseas: Taylor hits birthday century
15 November 2022
Jack Taylor played his first game of the Australian summer, hitting a 70-ball century on his 31st birthday. Captaining Surrey Hills CC after returning for consecutive seasons with the Melbourne side, Taylor also three wickets but was unable to prevent defeat for SHCC.
Ben Charlesworth continued his impressive winter form hitting 127 in a 50-over cup match for Woodville District CC, although similarly to Taylor, Charlesworth’s century was also in a losing pursuit.
Chris Dent turned out for Brackenfell CC, missing out with the bat but taking 2/39 in nine overs.

Chris Dent | Brackenfell CC, Cape Town |
Will Naish | Lancashire CC, Durban |
