Gloucestershire Cricket fans have a fantastic place to catch the action at the Bristol County Ground after the opening of the new Optimum Sports Bar.
The former Hammond Room has undergone a complete refurbishment, giving the historic bar a fresh, modern feel.
The work was carried out by Bristol-based firm Optimum Combined Services who have signed a three year sponsorship deal with the club.
The Optimum Consortium
Founded in September 1999, Optimum Drywall Systems has grown to become one of the South West & Wales leading providers in interior drywall and suspended ceiling systems and external façade finishes. With a prestigious portfolio of work both in the private and the public sectors the company has established a reputation for quality, flexibility and service that is second to none.
Optimum’s Painting & Decorating and Contracts department was originally formed in 2007, a successful painting and decorating division consisting of individual contracts for smaller builders and maintenance companies, as well as large contracts for clients such as Bristol University. During 2012 the scope of activities broadened, adding fire stopping, glazed partitioning, shop fitting and external rendering to its activities. These current business operations and turnover provided an excellent platform to develop and organically grow, so Optimum Combined Services Ltd was born.
Gloucestershire Cricket Chief Executive, Will Brown, said:“We are delighted to announce our partnership with The Optimum Consortium. They are a local company with a fantastic reputation for high quality work and their refurbishment of the bar is testament to that.
“The Optimum Sports Bar now has a brand new feel, and with fantastic views of the cricket on match days. It’s a great place to have a drink with friends, or to enjoy a delicious hot meal at lunchtimes.”
As well as offering drinks and freshly-cooked specials on match days, the Optimum Sports Bar is also available to hire on days when there are no games taking place. The bright, comfortable room can accommodate up to 100 delegates for a business meeting, small exhibition or setting for a private party.
Simon Britton, Managing Director, The Optimum Consortium said: “We are really pleased to have joined forces with Gloucestershire Cricket and proud to put our name to the Optimum Sports Bar. With the start of the new NatWest T20 Blast competition on May 16 and the England v India Royal London One-Day International on August 25 there is a really exciting summer of cricket to look forward to at the Bristol County Ground. We hope supporters will enjoy watching the action and having something to eat and drink in the new bar.”
