Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to support the work of the charity 'Brace' who work towards funding research into Alzheimer's.

The charity have been using a BRACE headband campaign to get their message across about the urgent need for public support and the need for increased funding into Alzheimer's.

The charity are encouraging others to don a headband and take a selfie or group photo. By putting it on social media with the hashtag #UseYourHead, you can then help BRACE convey this message.

BRACE Chief Executive Mark Poarch, himself a long-time supporter of Gloucestershire, said, "It's great to have the team's enthusiastic support for our campaign, which is helping put across the message that dementia research urgently needs increased public support. I'm also grateful to the club for organising this on a day when it was busy promoting next year's England v Sri Lanka international at the ground."

Roz Hutchings, Head of Community Engagement at the club said, “Gloucestershire Cricket are delighted to be able to support BRACE and their #useyourhead campaign. To be involved with a charity that is funding such important, pioneering research right here in Bristol that will help generations to come is a real honour. The lads think the headbands are great – they even headed off to training in them earlier!”
