Strikers sign Cockbain for remainder of BBL

Gloucestershire batter and T20 specialist Ian Cockbain has signed for the Adelaide Strikers and will be with the South Australian side for the remainder of the Big Bash League (BBL).
Cockbain, Gloucestershire’s all time T20 run scorer and appearance maker could make his BBL debut today for the Strikers. He is part of a 15-man squad set to take on the Perth Scorchers at 11:40pm GMT.
Ian’s T20 experience will help the Strikers qualify for the playoff phase of the competition. As things currently stand, the Strikers sit in fifth in the BBL table.
In Cockbain’s T20 career for Gloucestershire, he has scored 3,308 runs at an average of 33.41. His highest scoring innings of 123 came against Middlesex at Bristol County Ground in 2018. He has also taken the most catches for The Shire in the competition with 59 to his name as well as making an impressive 130 appearances for the Club.
