20 October 2017
Gloucestershire Cricket are pleased to announce that seam bowler Chris Liddle has signed a one year contract extension, keeping him at The Brightside Ground for the upcoming 2018 season.
The 6ft 4in left armer featured regularly across all three formats in the 2017 season. Liddle's memorable performances in the season came in the Royal London One-Day Cup, taking 18 wickets in just 6 matches at an average of 15.11.
In the 2017 season, Liddle made his first class debut for Gloucestershire in the opening home Specsavers County Championship match against Leicestershire.
Liddle arrived at The Brightside Ground at the start of the 2016 season on a two-year contract following a move from Sussex.
Liddle expressed his delight, "I'm happy to have signed a contract extension at Gloucestershire, hopefully I can build on last season's personal achievements and contribute towards a successful 2018".
Head Coach Richard Dawson said, "It's great to have Chris extending his contract for the next season. He put together good performances in all formats, especially in the Royal London One-Day Cup. Hopefully he can build on this for the upcoming season".
