RAIN ON DAY 4 ENDS GAME AS DRAW

3 September 2016

No play was played on the fourth and final day of the Specsavers County Championship match between Derbyshire and Gloucestershire at the 3aaa County Ground.

Gloucestershire would begin the day on their second innings 10 - 0, needing a further 262 runs for victory.

The match ended in a draw.

Gloucestershire captain Gareth Roderick said: "It would have been one of those days where both sides would have had a sniff of a win but we'll take some positives from it and we were in a position where potentially we could have won at the end of day three.

"We will certainly take more positives than negatives from this game. We try and get as many points as we can and improving our position from last year to this year so that's something we have in our sights."
