Players take time out to tour Thatchers Cider HQ
27 January 2015
Gloucestershire’s players swapped their tracksuits for overalls on a visit to the Thatchers Cider mill at Myrtle Farm in Somerset.
Seven of the squad took part in a tour and tasting at the home of Gloucestershire Cricket’s official cider.
During their trip they were given a look behind the scenes at every aspect of the production process from harvesting the apples to bottling.
Thatchers – who are a family firm with over 100 years of cider-making heritage – are sponsoring Gloucestershire’s 2015 NatWest T20 Blast home matches v Glamorgan (June 12) and Somerset (June 19). On both days they will be setting-up a Thatchers Cider Zone and running a number of exciting on-pitch activities.
