Park & Ride information - Gloucestershire v Somerset

We look forward to welcoming Somerset to the Brightside Ground, Bristol, on Friday 4th August for the local derby in the NatWest T20 Blast. This match has now sold out.
NOTICE -
Due to traffic on M5, the Somerset team are scheduled to arrive later than expected. Start will be delayed. We will keep you updated.
The Park & Ride services will adjust accordingly with the state of play in tonight's match.
Park & Ride Service -
With no parking available at The Brightside Ground, Bristol, the club is encouraging ticket buyers to use the park and ride facility or public transport when they visit the ground.
The park and ride service will go between the Portway car park and the bus stop on Gloucester Road, located at the end of Nevil Road. (A short 5 minute walk to the ground)
Timetable:
For the return journey to the Portway car park, these times may vary depending on when the match finishes. The first bus will depart 15 minutes after the match has finished and the last bus will depart 45 minutes after the match has finished.
Cost:
Fares are £4 return per adult and children under 16 travel free of charge. The Portway car park will stay open until 2230.
Road closed:
Nevil road will be closed to motor vehicles from 2.30pm on Friday 4 August.
Bus Service -
The Brightside Ground, Bristol on Nevil Road, is easily accessible by bus: Services 17/17A, 70/71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 78/79* all run within a five minute walk of the main entrance using stops on the nearby Gloucester Road (Services 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 78/79), Muller Road (Service 17/17A) and Ashley Down Road (Service 70). All buses operate at very regular intervals, Service 75 and 76 run 24 hours a day.

Train Service -
The nearest train station to the Brightside Ground is Montpelier, approximately 1 mile from the Club and close to other public transport. The station has direct lines through to Bristol Temple Meads and a regular schedule to Bristol Parkway.
