One-Day Cup winners hand out the trophies at Glos Young Cricketers Awards night

5 October 2015

Gloucestershire’s Royal London One-Day Cup winning heroes handed out trophies to the next generation of stars at the county’s annual Young Cricketers presentation evening.

The first team squad joined around 300 players and guests at the Bristol County Ground to celebrate a successful season for Gloucestershire’s age group squads.

Gloucestershire Cricket Board head of performance Tim Hancock said: “It is fantastic to be able to reflect on another terrific year for our county squads. Once again the majority of squads finished with winning records and there were some outstanding performances from both teams and individuals.

“As a county we are continuing to make significant progress and there are a lot of encouraging signs for the future.”

The evening saw the Senior Women’s squad receive their medals for winning promotion back in to the third division of the ECB County Championship.

And Under 17 allrounder Dominic Hooper (Claverham) had a night to remember after picking up both the player of the year and performance of the year for his age group.
