Ryan Higgins has been one of Gloucestershire’s most prolific players since joining the Club in October 2017.
Ryan was in fine form once again for Gloucestershire in 2020 and was involved in all 16 matches that took place this summer.
In the Bob Willis Trophy, Ryan took 17 wickets in five matches, the most of any bowler for Gloucestershire in the competition. Supporters will remember his fantastic spell against Warwickshire at home where he took incredible figures of 7/42. Higgins claimed wickets with the first, third and sixth deliveries of his second over with the new ball to reduce the visitors to four for three in their second innings.
Ryan was also the second highest run scorer in the red-ball competition for the Club with a total of 173 runs. His consistent performances in the Bob Willis Trophy earned him a spot in the Greene King Team of the Year.
Higgins continued his fine form into the Vitality Blast competition. He was the joint leading wicket taker alongside David Payne for Gloucestershire with a total of 16 wickets, this would move him to a total of 33 wickets over the course of the shortened 2020 season.
He would also prove to be useful with the bat in T20 with a total of 200 runs at an average of 28.57, making him the fourth highest scorer for the Club in the competition.
