No play on first day of Championship season
13 April 2018
There will be no play on the opening day of the Specsavers County Championship against Kent at The Spitfire Ground.
Umpires Neil Bainton and Michael Burns deemed the outfield would not be fit for play after heavy overnight rain.
The forecast for the rest of the fixture is dry and warmer.
Our first Specsavers County Championship fixture of the season will see the team face Kent in Canterbury, with the match beginning on Friday 13 April.
