New yellow and black kits unveiled at media day
4 April 2016
Gloucestershire Cricket unveiled striking new yellow and black T20 and One-Day kits at the club’s annual media day.
The squad donned the new strips for official photographs on the outfield of the newly-named The Brightside Ground, Bristol before talking to journalists from across TV, radio and the written and online press ahead of the start of the season.
Royal London One-Day trophy winning head coach Richard Dawson and new four-day captain Gareth Roderick were among the most popular interviewees on the day.
The club also invited its junior “Marshall Members” along for the morning. During their visit they met the players, got autographs and posed for pictures. They also had a tour of the Bristol Pavilion and took part in a cricket session with coaches from the Gloucestershire Cricket Board.
Gloucestershire Cricket’s head of marketing Emily Salvidge said: “The number of media here today reflects the excitement for the start of the new season, which we hope will build on the success of the Royal London One-Day Cup win at Lord’s.
“It was great to see so many people here and it is lovely that they share the fan’s optimism for the season ahead.”
Interviews with players and coaching staff will be available in the local media and on this website over the next few days.
