Membership Figures Set To Rise

16 January 2014

Will Brown is expecting Gloucestershire’s membership figures to rise for the 2014 season, reversing the trend of recent years.

And the club’s Chief Executive is targeting an upward curve that continues into 2015 and beyond.

Will told this website: “It’s early days, but the indications are that the graph is going to take an upward turn in terms of membership this year and I am not surprised.

“Our squad should be more competitive, which obviously will bring people through the gates, and we are now able to give them a very comfortable environment in which to watch their cricket.

“The supporters have put up with temporary facilities for a couple of year, but we will now have absolutely fantastic facilities all around the ground.

“As well as the seating, the new pavilion is open to members and I can understand that people are rightly excited about coming back to Gloucestershire and being supportive of the club.

“Our T20 Plus membership, incorporating play in other competitions at weekends, provides a whole new opportunity for spectators who are unable to get to games during weekdays.

“A lot of hard work has been done by people in our marketing teams and membership numbers in general are looking very positive.

“The reality is that over the next three or four years it can be our biggest area of gain. We need to focus on making membership an exciting and rewarding experience.”
