Marcus Harris selected in Australia A squad for tour of Sri Lanka
30 April 2022
Gloucestershire’s top-order batter Marcus Harris has been selected in the Australia A squad for a tour of Sri Lanka in June.
Harris, who signed for Glos in September on a two-year-deal, will travel to Sri Lanka in early June to join up with his Australia teammates for the month-long tour of the South Asian country.
Australia A will play two one-day matches and two first-class tour matches in Sri Lanka between Wednesday 8 June and Friday 24 June. Harris’ involvement with the national squad means Gloucestershire will be without him for a number of T20 Vitality matches in June and at least one County Championship match v Kent on 12-15 June.
Australia A tour of Sri Lanka fixtures:
- June 8: First one-day game, Colombo
- June 10: Second one-day game, Colombo
- June 14-17: first-class tour match, Hambantota
- June 21-24: first-class tour match, Hambantota
Everyone at Gloucestershire Cricket wishes Marcus Harris good luck for his time in Sri Lanka with Australia A in June.
