Liam Takes Three On Comeback Trail

Liam Norwell claimed 3-47 on his return from injury as Gloucestershire bowled out Cambridge MCCU for 209 on the second day of the match at Fenner's.
There were also two wickets for David Payne, himself looking to prove fitness after a side strain, as the county gained a first innings lead of 18 runs
By the close Gloucestershire had made 89-3 in their second innings, with skipper Hamish Marshall 22 not out, and led by 107 going into a potentially exciting last day.
The students began day two on six without loss and had reached 31 by the time Norwell made the breakthrough by bowling opener Dean Bell for nine.
It was a sweet moment for the strapping pace bowler, who has faced a frustratingly long period on the sidelines since suffering a stress fracture in his back early last season.
Norwell quickly weht on to remove James Johnson and Satyajit Satbhhai as Cambridge MCCU plunged to 35-3 before Payne (2-35) got in on the act by pinning Tom Elliott lbw.
It was 59-5 when opener Ben Ackland fell to Benny Howell for 29 and 77-6 when Howell followed up by gaining a leg before verdict against home skipper Robert Woolley.
But Gloucestershire were then held up by a seventh-wicket stand of 54 between Peter Turnbull (31) and Paul Best, who top scored with 62 off 101 balls, with 9 fours.
McCarter broke the partnership by having Turnbull caught by Dan Housego, but Josh Poysden (14) helped Best add a further 33 before becoming a second victim for Payne.
Best was ninth man out, caught by Howell off Ed Young, who also dismissed tail-ender Matt Salisbury (23) for figures of 2-51 from 9.3 overs. Howell finished with 2-17 from five.
Gloucestershire progressed to 49 in their second innings before Howell was bowled by Turnbull fo 21. Chris Dent (28) followed four runs later when his stumps were disturbed by Saliisbury.
It was 88-3 when Housego fell lbw to Pat Sadler for 18, but Marshall was unbeaten at the close, having hit 5 fours in his 27-ball innings.
