The Royal London One-Day Cup comes to the Brewin Dolphin Cheltenham Cricket Festival

The new Royal London One-Day Cup gets underway this weekend when Gloucestershire welcome Northamptonshire to the Brewin Dolphin Cheltenham Cricket Festival on Sunday 27 July.  This new competition, which replaces the Yorkshire Bank 40 competition, will be played in a 50-over format in line with one-day International cricket.

Gloucestershire are drawn in Group A, which also includes the Derbyshire Falcons, Essex Eagles, Hampshire, Lancashire Lightning, Leicestershire Foxes, Northants Steelbacks, Worcestershire and Yorkshire Vikings.

Sunday’s match will be the culmination of this year’s world-famous Cricket Festival – so this is the last chance to watch Gloucestershire Cricket in action at the College Ground this season.

Gates open at 8.30 am with play scheduled to commence at 10.30 am.

Adult tickets £20.00 in advance, £25.00 on the gate
18’s and under £3.00 in advance, £5.00 on the gate
Family Tickets (2 x adults, 2 x 18’s & under) £42 in advance, £52.00 on the gate

There’s also the Abercrombie & Kent Coaching Zone for the kids to look forward to.  ECB qualified coaches will be running free coaching sessions for juniors and there is also the inflatable bowling lane to try – come and see if you are the “fastest in the west!”  Specific skills coaching takes place between 11.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

The weather looks likely to be another fine day with plenty of sunshine, so why not come along and cheer on Gloucestershire Cricket for the last time this year at the idyllic Cheltenham College Ground – a great day out for all the family.
