Klinger guides Khulna Titans to victory in BPL
8 November 2017
Gloucestershire's one day captain Michael Klinger helped the Khulna Titans to their opening victory in the Bangladesh Premier League on Wednesday.
The 37-year old, who joined the Titans alongside Gloucestershire team-mate Benny Howell, hit 47 not out against Sylhet Sixers to lead the Titans to victory by 6 wickets.
Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo after the match, Klinger said "The bowlers were fantastic. After going for 200 in game one, to come back like that was special. So in the chase, even though we lost early wickets, there was no real pressure. But you had to put your ego away for a little bit and fight through."
"The run rate never really got too much over six or seven, we knew if we creak it up a little bit, we would be able to get home. We managed to get boundaries semi-regularly. It's been a lovely week here in Sylhet, hopefully we can keep the momentum going in Dhaka."
