3 February 2015
Gloucestershire new boy Kieran Noema-Barnett scored 46 from 52 balls to help his Central Stags side win New Zealand’s domestic one-day competition.
The 27-year-old allrounder’s innings contributed to a 78 run victory over the Auckland Aces in the Ford Trophy final.
The victory capped an excellent individual competition for Kieran (pictured), who has scored 220 runs at an average of more than 31 with the bat and taken nine wickets at an economy rate of 4.8.
The former New Zealand Under 19 player is no stranger to cup success having played a key part in Central District’s HRV T20 cup-winning side in 2009-10. In December 2010 he set the record for the fastest half century in New Zealand domestic T20 – smashing 57 off 18 balls.
He signed for Gloucestershire at the end of the 2014 season after impressing on trial.
