Josh Shaw returns to Gloucestershire
17 May 2019
Josh Shaw returns for a fourth spell with Gloucestershire Cricket. The 23-year-old, who played against Derbyshire in red-ball action at the start of last month, is likely to link up with the travelling Gloucestershire squad on Sunday ahead of Monday’s fixture at Durham.
“Gloucestershire are a club I know well and this if the fourth time I’ve been down there now,” said Shaw, who took two wickets in last month’s loan spell. “The last three times, I’ve really enjoyed myself and they’re a good set of lads.
“It will be a great opportunity to go back to try and execute my skills and plans and try and push for a place in the Yorkshire First XI.
Shaw will be with Gloucestershire on a 28-day loan spell before heading back to Yorkshire.

“At Yorkshire, we’ve got a few fast bowlers doing really well at the moment and therefore it’s hard to get a start when the other lads are bowling really well in the Championship games.”
Gloucestershire Head Coach, Richard Dawson said, “It’s great having Josh on loan from Yorkshire. He’s a bowler of great potential and will add competition to our squad whilst also giving him an opportunity to develop his game.”
