Jack's The Lad To Face Yorkshire
29 July 2014
Jack Taylor was recalled to Gloucestershire's team for the Royal London One-day Cup match against Yorkshire at Headingley today.
The off-spinner replaced the injured Alex Gidman in the only change from the team beaten by Northamptonshire at Cheltenham on Sunday in the opening match in the new 50-over competition.
Alex is under treatment after suffering back spasms in that game.
With Tom Smith also in the side, skipper Michael Klinger has two senior spinners to call upon at Headingley along with four seamers in Will Gidman, Craig Miles, David Payne and Benny Howell.
Yorkshire, who beat Lancashire in their opening group match, included former Gloucestershire batsman Kane Williamson in their line-up.
The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first.
Gloucestershire: M.Klinger (capt), H.Marshall, C.Dent, I.Cockbain, W.Gidman, B.Howell, A.Rouse (wkt), J.Taylor, T.Smith, C.Miles, D.Payne.
