Introducing our new Vitality Blast T20 shirt for 2022

Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to unveil the new-look Vitality Blast shirt for the 2022 season.

For the Twenty20 Blast’s 20th anniversary, Gloucestershire Cricket wants to ensure we produce something special and unique for our fans, Members and players to wear. Working with our new kit provider, New Balance Team Sports, we have been able to get creative and kickstart the new partnership with the production of an exciting T20 playing shirt for the 2022 season!

As part of the bespoke new design, the Club collaborated with Bristol street artist Wei Ong, known as Silent Hobo, who has previously worked with Gloucestershire to bring images of cricket and Bristol to life at Bristol County Ground.

Silent Hobo has incorporated the Club’s crest within the fabric of the new shirt, using the lion, knight and shield, as well as recognisable paint splats that are engrained in Gloucestershire’s new-look style, to give the 2022 shirt a homegrown feel.

Speaking of his involvement in designing the new shirt, Silent Hobo said: “It’s a great privilege to be asked to create a look for a team kit. It's hard to know where to start but I thought that bringing to the life the shield for Gloucestershire Cricket would create an interesting visual for supporters to enjoy.”

While the shirt features a fresh and new design, the Club’s longstanding sponsors Hunter Selection, Bath Ales and Towergate Insurance are once again featured on the front, back-of-shirt and sleeve.

Neil Priscott, Commercial and Marketing Director at Gloucestershire Cricket, added: “We are thrilled with how the new T20 shirt looks. Working closely with New Balance and Silent Hobo on this design has been a great success and we can’t wait to see Gloucestershire supporters kitted out in our colours in Bristol and Cheltenham next year.

"We would also like to thank our sponsors for their continued support of the Club and we’re excited see the team battle it out in the Blast in its 20th anniversary.”

The Club is also pleased to announce that as part of our recent Under 11s membership package offer, hundreds of young Glos supporters will be receiving their personalised replica T20 shirt this week, just in time for Christmas.
