Introducing our new playing kit for 2022 County Championship season
14 January 2022
Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to unveil our new-look playing kit for the 2022 LV= Insurance County Championship season.
Produced by our new kit provider New Balance Teamsports, the traditional all-white shirt features a modern twist with the inclusion of Gloucestershire's recognisable black and yellow colours on the sleeve cuffs.
Glos players will wear the sleek and eye-catching new kit during every LV= Insurance County Championship Division One match between April and September, during which time The Shire will take on the very best teams and players in the English game.
While the shirt features a fresh and new design, the Club’s longstanding sponsors Cayman Islands, Bath Ales and Towergate Insurance are once again featured on the front, back-of-shirt and sleeve.
Neil Priscott, Commercial and Marketing Director at Gloucestershire Cricket, said: “We’re delighted with how the County Championship shirt looks and it’s only right that we have a top quality playing kit for our players to wear in the top tier of English cricket.
“The talented designers at New Balance Teamsports have injected a fresh feel to our playing kits for 2022 and we can’t wait for our Members and supporters to see a new-look Gloucestershire challenging for silverware at Bristol and Cheltenham this season.”
The launch of the County Championship shirt comes after we unveiled our Vitality Blast shirt for the 2022 season in December. Gloucestershire collaborated with Bristol street artist Wei Ong, known as Silent Hobo, during the design process of the striking new T20 kit to give the product a bespoke homegrown feel.
New Balance Teamsports Director, John Carden, added: “Taking a collaborative approach to the design of the playing kit has resulted in truly unique designs that should be instantly recognisable as Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.
“We hope this resonates with fans of the club and we look forward to seeing it being worn by the players and fans alike in 2022.”
The new shirt will be available to purchase online via our Club shop in the spring. Make sure you keep an eye out for our new LV= Insurance County Championship shirt going on sale on our website and social media channels.
