After a thrilling CB40 match on Sunday 13 May, when Gloucestershire comprehensively beat Leicestershire by 164 runs, and rightly took their place at the top of the Group A table, Gloucestershire cricket fans may be experiencing withdrawal symptoms as First Team cricket is off the menu until we face Derbyshire in the County Championship on Wednesday 30 May.
Don’t despair!! Between now and then, fans can enjoy the following matches at the County Ground, Nevil Road:
Sunday 20 May
Gloucestershire Cricket welcomes the Varsity Cricket Series between the University of the West of England and University of Bristol. Four teams will contest two Twenty20 matches. Gates open at 9.00 am with matches being played at 11.00 am and 2.30 pm.
Tickets cost £5.00 in advance and can be purchased through www.uwesu.org/varsity or www.ubu.org.uk/activities/sports/varsity. Tickets on the day will be priced at £6.00.
Tuesday 22 May
Gloucestershire Cricket’s Second XI play Glamorgan in a three day Championship match. There is no entry charge and start of play (on each day) is scheduled for 11.00 am.
Friday 25 May
Gloucestershire Cricket’s Second XI then welcome back Glamorgan for a one day Trophy match. Again, there is no entry fee and the match commences at 12.00 noon.
