Hankins Brothers Released by Gloucestershire

Brothers, George and Harry Hankins have not been offered contract extensions at Gloucestershire Cricket and will be released at the end of the 2021 season.
George (24), departs after six years with the Club, in which he made 55 appearances across all formats. Hankins made 1,211 first-class runs for The Shire including one century in his first season against Northamptonshire.
George finished as the Club’s leading run-scorer In the 2018 Royal London One-Day Cup with 291 runs at an average of 58.20 – including three half-centuries.
He signed his first professional contract at Gloucestershire in 2015 following a fruitful season at Millfield School where he broke Daniel Bell-Drummond’s record for most runs in a season.
Following in the footsteps of his older brother, Harry (22), made his first-class debut as a 19-year-old after impressing in the Gloucestershire Academy. He made 9 runs and bowled at an economy rate of 3.06 in a draw against Derbyshire at Bristol.
