Hamish Marshall (pictured) and Gareth Roderick put together an unbroken stand of 145 to guide Gloucestershire to 353-5 on the opening day of their three-day friendly against Worcestershire at the County Ground.
It was another encouraging day for the hosts, who are showing some promising form in pre-season fixtures.
Skipper Marshall was unbeaten on 83 at the close, having faced 107 balls and hit 9 fours. Roderick was 71 not out, made off 105 deliveries, with 12 boundaries.
Earlier, Chris Dent (86) and Will Tavare (41) had shared an opening stand of 106. Dent faced 106 balls and hit 15 fours.
Alex Gidman then followed up his 150 not out in the one-day game between the sides at Kidderminster by contributing 40.
Left-arm seamer Ross Whiteley claimed three for 55 from 15 overs for the visitors.
