Ground Redevelopment - Works Announcement

7 February 2013

Gloucestershire County Cricket Club and Galliford Try would like to inform local residents that the general reinforced concrete works, which were to have commenced in early January 2013, are now able to progress.  The delay occurred due to the recent adverse weather conditions.  This week, however, we are glad to report that the weather has been working with us!

Consequently, we plan to pour a reinforced concrete slab into the Residential Basement on Friday 8 February 2013.  These concrete placement works will continue throughout the day until early afternoon.  However, the concrete finishing of these works will involve intermittent power floating and, depending on night time temperatures, will continue until circa 01:00 hours on Saturday 9 February.  This concrete pour is at the City of Bristol College end of the Residential Basement (near to where the Jessop Stand used to be situated).  This will also necessitate the use of generated power lighting local to the works.

We do hope these works will not cause any nuisance to local residents and thank you in advance of your anticipated co-operation whilst we undertake this crucial stage of the project.  We will also arrange for notices to be placed on the site notice boards during the course of tomorrow.

Should you have any queries in advance of these works, please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of our site management team.
