Gloucestershire takes catering in-house at the Seat Unique Stadium
12 April 2023
Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to announce it has transitioned to providing in-house catering at the Seat Unique Stadium.
The move will allow Gloucestershire to take full control of its matchday and non-match day catering offering, including in hospitality dining and in the Thatchers Bar & Kitchen. Having gone from strength to strength over the last year with the introduction of a coffee and café-style food offering in March 2022, the Thatchers Bar & Kitchen now offers a bigger, better and more diverse food offering.
Whether you’re looking for lunch on a matchday or are popping in for a catch-up with a friend on non-matchdays, you can now choose from a brand new range of hot and cold food and drinks options in the Thatchers Bar & Kitchen. From handmade paninis to artisan Clifton coffee served by our skilled baristas, there’s sure to be something that takes your fancy.
By taking catering in-house, Gloucestershire will be able to provide an improved food and beverage service to Members on matchdays and remove the requirement to pre-book dining in the Grace Room several days in advance. New for the 2023 season, Members will now be able to order freshly cooked meals in Grace Room dining during matchdays on a first come, first served basis.
Neil Priscott, Deputy Chief Executive at Gloucestershire Cricket, said: “We’ve listened to feedback from Members and have decided to take full control of our catering to allow us to better meet the food and beverage requirements of everyone who visits the Seat Unique Stadium.
“We set ourselves exceptionally high standards and are committed to providing an improved catering offering in all facets at our venue, whether that be for Members on matchdays or a bespoke offering for a private event on non-matchdays.
“This is incredibly exciting for all of us at Gloucestershire and over the coming weeks we will be working hard to get our in-house catering operations firing on all cylinders. We are determined to provide a much-improved catering provision over the coming years and are excited to be recruiting some talented events and catering people to make this happen.”
The move to providing in-house catering allows Gloucestershire to commit to sourcing all ingredients from local suppliers in the South West of England, all of whom must share the Club’s strict values regarding sustainability.
As part of Gloucestershire’s new and improved diverse food offering, the Club will ensure all dietary requirements are catered for by ensuring vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and diary free food option are available on request. To cut down on food waste, Gloucestershire has also signed up to the ‘Too Good To Go’ app which ensures our delicious food is put to good use at a great price.
