Gloucestershire sign Phil Mustard on loan until end of 2016 season

Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to welcome Phil Mustard to the Club.
Following last week’s announcement that the 33-year-old’s contract would not be renewed by Durham County Cricket Club, Phil Mustard was given permission to pursue other opportunities.
Gloucestershire expressed an interest following the recent injury to Gareth Roderick – which will see him side lined from the squad for at least six weeks. Phil joins the Club on loan after an incredible 16 years of service for Durham.
It is hoped that he will be eligible for Gloucestershire’s Royal London One-Day Cup match against Surrey at the Kia Oval on Wednesday evening but will not be available for selection should Gloucestershire and Durham meet in the knockout stages of either limited-overs competition.
Head Coach, Richard Dawson said: “'It's great that Phil has joined us for the rest of the season after Gareth's injury to his finger. He brings with him vast experience and match winning abilities which I'm sure he will show whilst at Gloucestershire.”
