Gloucestershire Pre-Season Fixtures Announced

Gloucestershire Cricket is pleased to announce pre-season fixtures taking place at Bristol County Ground and at other venues. The Shire will be playing local rivals Somerset in a three-day friendly in Taunton as we gear up for the start of the LV= Insurance County Championship campaign as well as a two-day friendly away to Hampshire.
The Bristol County Ground will also be hosting a two-day match against Glamorgan as well as a three-day pre-season warm-up match against Exeter University.
Full Pre-Season Fixture List:
March 21/22 | Hampshire v Gloucestershire | Ageas Bowl (Red-ball)
March 26/27/28 | Somerset v Gloucestershire | Cooper Associates County Ground (Red-ball)
March 30/31 | Gloucestershire v Glamorgan | Bristol County Ground (Red-ball)
April 2/3/4 | Gloucestershire v Exeter University | Bristol County Ground (Red-ball)
Please note – both pre-season friendly matches at Bristol County Ground are FREE and open to all.
Gloucestershire Cricket Performance Director Steve Snell said: "We cannot wait to get started. Being able to provide the players with early opportunities to impress and to finalise our preparation with a strong and comprehensive pre-season program will provide us with a good platform to start the season fully prepared and with ‘match ready’ skills.
The fixtures against Hampshire, Somerset, Glamorgan and Exeter University will provide a great opportunity for our players to be in an excellent mental and physical space to hit the ground running for the first match and beyond."
Our first LV= Insurance County Championship fixture of the season will see The Shire face Northamptonshire in Northampton with the match beginning on Thursday 7 April at 11:00am.
Gloucestershire’s opening match of the season at Bristol County Ground takes place on Thursday 14 April with the visit of Yorkshire for an 11am start. Make sure you join Gloucestershire for Division One cricket in Bristol.
