Gloucestershire extend partnership with St Austell Brewery

Tribute Premium Ale is to appear on the collar of Gloucestershire Cricket’s new one-day and County Championship shirts.

And St Austell Brewery’s flagship beer will continue to be the club’s official beer partner.

As part of the relationship, St Austell Brewery held a trade fair at the Bristol Pavilion during day three of the Specsavers County Championship match between Gloucestershire and Derbyshire.

Over 400 licensees attended the event, which showcased the Cornish firm’s range of beers and a number of their key partners including Carlsberg, Heineken, Thatchers and Frobishers.

Dan Crabb, St Austell Brewery’s head of regional sales said: “This is the fourth year we have been involved with Gloucestershire Cricket and we are delighted to continue our partnership.

“The relationship has been a key part of our growth in the Bristol area. Gloucestershire Cricket is one of a number of professional sports teams we work with and it has been great way of growing our brand and raising our profile in the local community.”

The Tribute logo appeared on Gloucestershire’s Specsavers County Championship collar last year but will feature on the new yellow and black shirt Royal London One-Day Cup shirt for the first time.

The club will wear the eye-catching new kit to defend the trophy they won by beating Surrey at Lord’s last September.

Their campaign begins on June 5 v Somerset at Taunton. The first chance for fans to see the new shirt in action at home is on June 8 against Middlesex.

Gloucestershire chief executive Will Brown said: “We are proud to have played a part in St Austell Brewery’s growth in Bristol and Gloucestershire in recent years. We hope that the new sponsorship agreement will mean we can share our success with them as we look to improve our County Championship position and defend the Royal London One-Day Cup this year.”
