GLOUCESTERSHIRE CRICKET WIN GLOBAL CENTERPLATE AWARD

19 March 2014

Gloucestershire Cricket has been awarded a Line of Business Award for its venue catering at the Bristol Pavilion, the County Ground Bristol.  The award recognises the Club’s approach in establishing a good working relationship with its catering partner, Centerplate, which, in turn, facilitated the smooth mobilisation of catering services at the Bristol Pavilion.

The UK Division of Centerplate was asked to put forward a ‘best user’ in their venue sector for awards which were presented recently at Centerplate’s global annual conference at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

In congratulating Gloucestershire Cricket on winning the award - which was presented to Iain Paterson (the Bristol Pavilion’s General Manager, Catering) Adam Elliott, President of Centerplate’s UK division, said:  “Establishing a new large-scale catering and hospitality service when a site is being re-developed always presents challenges, but teamwork and a positive approach really does make a big difference.  We selected Gloucestershire Cricket as the winner of our 2013 Line of Business Award for Venue Catering which recognises their partnership approach as everyone at the Club really stepped up to the mark, working with us to ensure the smooth-running of the catering operation from the outset.”

Gloucestershire Cricket’s Chief Executive, Will Brown, added: “This is an outstanding achievement for the team at the Bristol Pavilion and reflective of the quality of food, hard work and dedication from the trying times of the ground development through to the grand opening of this fantastic new facility.  Well done to all concerned, richly deserved."
