Gloucestershire Cricket Is Looking to Appoint New Independent Board Members
28 February 2022
Gloucestershire Cricket is an organisation that promotes and fosters cricket and which competes as one of the 18 professional teams in the country. Established in 1870 in Bristol, the Club hosts international men’s and women’s matches each year and is a SME with a multi-million pound turnover.
After recently celebrating its 150th anniversary, the Club is now entering a new era with a mission to develop a culture of cricketing excellence from the grassroots of the game to the professional elite. Sitting at the heart of our communities, we aim to provide inspirational facilities, become an innovative environmental force for good and create lifelong positive memories for everyone we come into contact with.
The Club has shared values which we exhibit and live by, which we will champion across the game: A commitment to Excellence; Inspire; Challenge and Innovation; Teamwork; and Fun and Enjoyment.
To help us achieve our ambitions we are recruiting two non-executive Board Members that share our values, can help us to fulfil our mission and ensure we benefit from the very best Governance. We welcome all applications, particularly those from individuals with skillsets in one (or more) of the following areas:
- EDI
- Digital, Business Transformation
- Press and PR
- Running or contributing to community-based organisations
The likely overall estimated time commitment required of Trustees is a minimum of 8-10 days per year.
This is a voluntary role, with reasonable expenses being reimbursed.
