Gloucestershire Cricket foodbank returns to help tackle food poverty in Bristol
31 August 2023
Gloucestershire Cricket will once again host a foodbank at the Seat Unique Stadium as the Club looks to help combat food poverty in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
A community project brought to the Club last season by President David ‘Syd’ Lawrence, the collection will help make a difference to families and individuals struggling to make ends meet during the current cost of living crisis.
The initiative will run during Gloucestershire’s County Championship match with Derbyshire between Sunday 10th September and Wednesday 13th September, as well as on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th September 2023.
Members and supporters are invited to donate items between these dates at a donation station in the Thatchers Bar & Kitchen at the Seat Unique Stadium, Nevil Road, Bristol, BS9 7EJ. Items for donation can include non-perishable food items, (non-alcoholic) drinks and essential toiletries. All items donated will go directly to Bristol and South Gloucestershire’s most in-need.
The project will be supported by vehicle leasing solutions company Autolyne, who will assist with the transportation of all donations.

The North Bristol & South Gloucestershire Foodbank launched 10 years ago and now has nine outlets throughout the area, working together to reduce hunger in our community. The Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trusts’ Network of 429 foodbanks, all working to tackle poverty and hunger across the UK.
