Gloucestershire Cricket drop Purple Family Day T20 playing shirt in support of Grief Encounter
4 June 2024
As part of Sunday’s T20 double-header with Western Storm, Gloucestershire will wear a purple T20 playing shirt to raise vital funds for bereavement charity Grief Encounter.
The kit design is a likeness to the regular T20 matchday playing shirt, with the Club’s regular yellow and black colour palette swapped with purple and white. Front-of-shirt sponsors Watches of Bath Competitions, bit58 and Bristol Honda will be joined on the kit with Grief Encounter across the shoulders.
The limited edition replicas will only be available to purchase in the Club shop this Sunday, so make sure to arrive early this Sunday before they sell out!
100% of the profits from shirt sales will go to Grief Encounter, the incredible charity that supported Gloucestershire spinner Tom Smith and his two daughters following the death of Tom’s wife, Laura, in 2018.
Western Storm will also offer support to Purple Family Day by wearing their own variation of purple playing shirt during their match in the Charlotte Edwards Cup.
Supporter are encouraged to wear their own purple colours to support on the day.
Ticket buyers will receive two matches for the price of one this Sunday, with Western Storm facing Southern Vipers in the Charlotte Edwards Cup at 10:30am, before Gloucestershire meet Sussex Sharks in the Vitality Blast at 2:30pm.
