Jessie May announced as the club's new Charity Partner

Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to announce that local charity, Jessie May, which provides hospice at home services to children with terminal illnesses in Bristol and surrounding areas, has been appointed as the Club’s new “charity of the year” for 2017.
The partnership will run for the whole of the 2017 season and fans will see the Jessie May logo on players’ shirts at the first match on 28 March.
Jessie May, which cares for children and their families in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Wiltshire, will have the opportunity to fundraise on match days and special hospitality tickets will be given to the charity’s beneficiaries.
Jessie May, Head of Fundraising Julian Withers, said: “We are delighted to have been named as charity of the year by Gloucestershire Cricket and we’re really looking forward to working closely with the Club this season.
“To be partnered with such a prestigious and well-loved sporting organisation is great and the opportunity to raise both funds and awareness on match days is invaluable.
“Funds raised will go towards supporting families who really need us in the local area. Not only do we provide vital medical support to very poorly children, we also offer respite and bereavement services to their family members.
“Providing precious family time is at the heart of what we do, and this sponsorship means our families can enjoy fantastic local sporting events.”
This sponsorship initiative is also being supported by Bristol financial management business Ovation Finance.

Jessie May cares for children with terminal illness within their own homes in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Wiltshire. It costs around £1,200,000 to provide this care annually and, as the charity is almost entirely dependent on public support, fundraisers like this are essential.
