Glos to host England Men vs Australia ODI in 2024 and seven England Men IT20s between 2025 and 2031

14 June 2023

Gloucestershire Cricket is delighted to announce the Seat Unique Stadium will host an England Men vs Australia ODI in 2024 and 11 England Men and Women internationals between 2025 and 2031.

In its major match allocation for 2025-31, the ECB has awarded Gloucestershire seven England Men IT20s – one for each year - including fixtures against India in 2026 and Australia in 2028.

Bristol will also host England Women’s white ball fixtures in 2024, 2025, 2028, 2030 and 2031, further consolidating the Seat Unique Stadium’s status as a home-from-home for both England Men and Women’s white ball sides.

Australia's fixture at Bristol in 2024 comes three years after a scheduled match between England Men and Australia in July 2020 was cancelled due to Covid.

Will Brown, Chief Executive at Gloucestershire Cricket, said: “We’re delighted to have secured our status as an international venue for the next eight years and are equally thrilled to be bringing the biggest names and the best players in world cricket to the West Country.

“Both England Men and Women have enjoyed big wins in Bristol in recent years and everyone associated with the Club is excited for what promises to be an exciting period of international cricket at the Seat Unique Stadium.

"We will naturally be bidding to host matches in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in 2026 with the hope of building on a really successful legacy of hosting women's international cricket in Bristol. The 2017 ICC Women's World Cup saw eight games played in Bristol including a memorable semi-final between England Women and South Africa.

"It's imperative that the best men's and women's players are accessible to cricket fans in the West Country. We have proved over a long period of time that there is a huge appetite for international cricket here, so it's fantastic to have long-term confirmation of international cricket at Bristol."
