Glos to host Community Health & Wellbeing Fair this Sunday
10 January 2023
Start 2023 right and make sure your health is in check at Gloucestershire Cricket’s Community Health and Wellbeing Fair this Sunday.
The event, which is in collaboration with Accure Health Consultancy, Wesport, Gloucestershire Cricket and Wellspring Settlement, will be held at the Seat Unique Stadium between 11am and 5pm on Sunday 15 January.
The Fair is an opportunity for individuals to receive FREE health MOTs and advice for improving overall health and wellbeing. While the event is open to all adults (18+), the one-off wellbeing fair will look to support the South Asian and Afro-Caribbean population in Bristol who are keen to find out more about their health.
Those who attend the event will be provided with information on keeping healthy and focusing on risk factors for cardiovascular disease. There will also be talks and seminars for individuals to attend on subjects such as heart health and inactivity and health.
No appointment is needed for those who wish to attend the Health and Wellbeing Fair and drop-ins will be warmly welcomed.
The Fair will include a range of promotional stands with ideas on how to get fit, tips for healthy weight management support from Beezebodies, and mental health support, signposting and information from British Heart Foundation.
The Community Health and Wellbeing Fair will take place in the Grace Room of Gloucestershire Cricket’s Bristol Pavilion. Free parking will be available on-site at the Seat Unique Stadium, which does have wheelchair access for those who need it.
