Glos to dedicate One Day Cup fixture against Warwickshire to Her Game Too
18 July 2024
Gloucestershire’s One Day Cup fixture against Warwickshire on Sunday 4th August will be dedicated to Her Game Too, a national campaign that aims to raise awareness around sexist abuse in sport.
Having first partnered with Her Game Too in 2022 as the first cricket club in the country to do so, the partnership has gone from strength to strength and will be celebrated once again during Gloucestershire’s home match against Warwickshire next month.
First launched in 2021, Her Game Too is a fan-led, voluntary organisation that focuses on ensuring women and girls are welcomed and respected equally within sport. In partnership with Her Game Too, Gloucestershire aims to ensure cricket is a game for everyone and that all females feel the Seat Unique Stadium is a safe place to come and watch their team in action. The Club has also implemented a system for all visitors and spectators to report any sexist abuse experienced at Gloucestershire’s home venues.
The dedicated fixture against Warwickshire on Sunday 4th August will take place at the Seat Unique Stadium in Bristol, and will be the third dedicated fixture of its kind hosted by Gloucestershire. Play will start at 11am and Gloucestershire’s players will wear branded Her Game Too t-shirts during the warm-up as the Club continues to show its support for the campaign.
