4 February 2016
Gloucestershire's new signing Andrew Tye has been voted as the Perth Scorchers Fans’ Player of the Season for Big Bash League|05.
Tye finished with the fourth-most wickets in BBL|05, tallying 13 dismissals from nine games, with an economy rate of 7.05 and average of 18.
The 29-year-old’s good form led to his maiden Australia T20 International call-up.
The club ran an online poll last week which concluded on Sunday night and Tye attracted 32 per cent of the votes.
Tye finished ahead of Shaun Marsh (17.33 per cent) in second.
Michael Klinger was also voted into the top three and finished on an equal number of votes to David Willey.
