Gloucestershire Cricket Introducing: Land Captains
Gloucestershire Cricket is thrilled to partner with Bristol-based band, Land Captains, to launch the club’s 2023 New Balance Vitality Blast T20 kit.
The club is passionate about supporting Bristol’s eclectic independent music scene and is excited to introduce Gloucestershire supporters to a brilliant local band, Land Captains.
Land Captains’ latest release ‘The Count’ is used as the feature song in the club’s T20 kit launch video, which was released on Wednesday 14 December and is available for pre-sale NOW via the Gloucestershire online shop here.
Gloucestershire’s T20 campaign gets underway on Wednesday 24 May with an away trip to face Kent Spitfires, before Dale Benkenstein’s side return to Bristol for the first home fixture of the tournament v Glamorgan, on Friday 26 May. The Land Captains’ song ‘The Count’ will be played at all SEVEN of Gloucestershire’s home T20 matches in 2023.
Land Captains' Justin Kool, said: "We are beyond thrilled to have partnered with Gloucestershire Cricket. As a band, we've always believed and shouted about the creative scene of Bristol and how inspiring a city it can be, and it will always be our home.
“Two of us grew up playing cricket and have never lost appreciation for what the sport does for people.
“For the Club to reach out and for this to be happening is exciting and an opportunity to foster more connections between Bristol's vibrant music scene and its cricket scene."

Hunter Selection continues as the club’s T20 Front of Shirt sponsor for another year, as does Towergate Insurance as the Shirt Sleeve sponsor.
Gloucestershire was delighted to welcome Bristol Honda as the club’s new T20 Back of Shirt sponsor in early December. The company, who signed a two-year deal, are also the Club’s new Official Vehicle Partner and their logo will also appear on The Shire’s T20, County Championship and One Day Cup kits.
Neil Priscott, Deputy Chief Executive at Gloucestershire Cricket, said: “We’re proud to be supporting Bristol’s local scene as we launch our 2023 New Balance T20 playing shirt. The Land Captain’s song ‘The Count’ induces the same level of excitement that watching Gloucestershire in T20 action does, and we hope the partnership with the Club opens the band up to new audiences.
“While maintaining our trademark yellow and black colours, the new T20 kit features a refreshed look that I’m sure our supporters and Members will love just as much as we do. Everyone at the Club is already very excited for the start of the Vitality Blast campaign and we can’t wait to see the players take to the field in the new T20 kit.”
