Glos Cricket hosts ex-players for annual Former Players’ Day
26 June 2022
More than 40 ex-Gloucestershire players attended our annual Former Players’ Day today during day one of The Shire’s LV= Insurance County Championship match v Lancashire.
The day-long celebration was hosted by Andy Brassington in the Grace Room at the Seat Unique Stadium and was a chance for former teammates from years gone by to reminisce about their time with Gloucestershire.
A commemorative tree was also planted within the grounds of the Stadium by the Club’s President, David Lawrence, as a mark of respect and in fond memory of former Gloucestershire players.
Speaking about today’s event, David Lawrence said: “It was fantastic to have so many former players come along today, it’s always great to get so many ex-Glos players all together in one room.
“It was especially important to plant a tree of remembrance in the grounds of the Stadium for all former players from years gone by.”
