Glos backing Klinger, Tye, Bancroft & Scorchers in Big Bash 06

Gloucestershire players Michael Klinger, Andrew Tye and Cameron Bancroft have all been selected in the squad for Perth Scorchers opening Big Bash 06 clash against Adelaide Strikers on Friday.
Scorchers, the winners of Big Bash 04, have a named a 13 man squad which also includes new signing Mitchell Johnson and Englishmen David Willey and Ian Bell.
In front of a sell-out crowd for the opening match on Friday, Klinger will be hoping to continue his form from this year’s NatWest T20 Blast which saw him finish as top run scorer following the group stage of the tournament.
Scorchers opening match against the Strikers will see over 20,000 supporters pack out the WACA.
With three Gloucestershire players set to play a big part in the scorchers campaign, there is only one team that we will be backing during the Big Bash…….Go Scorchers!

The Scorchers, as has become the approach of the organisation have named another professional squad that should be relatively settled with few changes from last year.
If they get their team selection right and stay healthy, then they will be able to cover for any Australian call-ups for the Marsh brothers and others, meaning they can put out a strong XI each game.
It would be an absolute shock to see the Scorchers miss the finals and they should be hosting a semi-final come the end of January.
They are a very strong side and should be in for another strong season to keep their record of making the top four alive.
