Fuller In Line To Face Somerset
2 April 2014
James Fuller is set to prove his fitness by playing in the two-day friendly against Somerset at the County Ground, starting on Thursday.
The pace bowler has been under treatment for a hip injury since returning early from his winter in New Zealand, but has been named in a squad of 12.
Hamish Marshall will lead a strong Gloucestershire side against their neighbours, with Gareth Roderick keeping wicket. Jack Taylor and Tom Smith are the two spinners selected.
Somerset have named a squad of 13 for the match, which is seen as an important part of preparations for the coming season by both clubs.
Only 15 overs were possible on the second day of Gloucestershire’s two-day game against Warwickshire at Edbaston, with the hosts running up 57 without loss.
Play at the County Ground on Thursday commences at 11am and admission is free.
